4 Night Autumn Luxury Training Programme

‘The harder I practice the luckier I get !’ A great quote attributed at times to both golfing greats Arnold Palmer and Gary Player…in fact it doesn’t belong to either of them and more likely the philosopher Confucius….. however the point is that it’s a brilliant mindset for making improvements in your golf performance and what better way to do this than by travelling to a world class luxury golf resort with the head coach from one of the most prestigious English golf courses’ The London Club.

Paul Stuart, PGA Head Professional at The London Golf Club, is highly respected amongst his peers with a proven track record in teaching at all levels, he has developed a bespoke training programme which we can offer to you, at the number one resort in Spain, Camiral Golf & Wellness, the new name for PGA Catalunya, one hour drive north of Barcelona in the beautiful region of Costa Brava.

First opened in 1999 the resort, quickly established an international reputation for outstanding quality. It is ranked the number one resort in Spain by Golf World magazine, which also recognises the Stadium Course in its World Top 100 Courses.

The 5* sophisticated Camiral Hotel, a member of The Leading Hotels of The World and the two excellent golf courses is aimed at the active traveller. More information on Paul Stuart;

Paul developed his love for the game of golf at early age, regularly playing three rounds a day in the school holidays. Working with former Ryder Cup player, George Will, shaped his passion and dedication, as George encouraged and mentored leading to a successful amateur career, culminating in England honours. Progressing into the Professional ranks, spells on the local mini tours and a brief spell on The Challenge exposed him to many coaching styles as his desire to improve his knowledge of the game drove him forward. These past experiences have contributed to Paul’s success as an Instructor and being awarded PGA South Region Coach of The Year in 2019.

Paul’s Coaching Philosophy

“Golfers that stand the test of time, at any level, are all great ball strikers, so I work hard with my players on this area of the game. Working with my players to understand their golfing aspirations and goals is also very important, as we look to develop a road map for them to achieve their aims, with effective practice drills and course management strategies”.

“I have been fortunate to work with great coaches such as Martin Chuck (TourStriker) & Scott Cowx (voted Canada’s #1 Instructor in 2020) amongst others, these experiences have taught me that ‘a one swing fits all’ solution is not practical. We are all built differently and all have varying levels of flexibility, this will massively influence how we are able to swing the club. I use a more ‘holistic’ approach to coaching, if I can encourage my players to understand how their body works within their swing, they will have a better understanding of why they hit certain golf shots.

I like to think my coaching is progressive, embracing modern technology to help my players develop their skills - using Trackman & Hackmotion, when coaching, often validates what I am working on.  The data they provide help both the coach and player understand better what is happening through the swing. Coupled with video analysis both face-to-face and virtually online, the player is well equipped to leave the lesson with a clearer picture in the areas that need some work.”

Testimonial from Malcolm Brightwell, client on the March 2022 trip:

‘I have played the Monte Rei course several times over the last few years. When I heard that Paul Stuart had teamed up with Front 9 Travel to organise a training trip there, I jumped at the opportunity to take part. I was not disappointed, the combination of the trip organisation by Front 9 Travel through the delightful Natalie Scott and the skilful professional input from Paul were exemplary. Paul is a superb teacher, who works with the way you play, providing invaluable advice to tweak your game with often subtle changes that work. If you want to take a few shots a round off your game a session or two with Paul would be well worth it’.

Testimonial from John Hudson, LGC Members;

 ‘Paul is a patient, thoughtful teacher, always ahead of the game regarding new teaching thoughts & techniques. He has worked with me since I semi retired and I am reaping the benefits, now its down to me to practice what Paul teaches’

Golf Courses

Stadium Course – 18 holes / 6684m / Par 72

Since opening in 1999, this course has been consistently ranked among the best ten golf courses in Europe. Voted No.1 in Spain and No.4 in continental Europe in 2019, the venue has hosted various PGA European Tour events. Be warned the beauty of this course can distract you from the many dangers waiting to do serious damage to your scorecard! It is rare to find so many memorable holes on one course and despite the many ups and downs, tees are elevated and very few fairways are uphill, hole 6 is one of them, a stunning dogleg and it demands nothing less than a driver and total commitment.

Tour Course – 18 holes / 6000m / Par 72

This course is equally beautiful like the Stadium course but kinder, offering a slightly less stern challenge. Dominated by pine trees and lakes, the course is shorter and a little less difficult but remains a challenge for all level golfers. The features include wide fairways and strategically placed bunkers, which can be forgiving on less than perfect shots.
