Tecina Golf, only five minutes walk from the hotel, was designed by Donald Steel, who was also responsible for St. Andrews New course and Vila Sol in The Algarve, among many others. Tecina Golf is a perfect combination of factors - superb design, scenic landscape and a championship course. There are no buildings of any kind on the course which ensures that the golfers have uninterrupted views of the mountains and the Atlantic Ocean from any point on the course. At Tecina Golf they have taken special care to preserve the natural beauty of the island. Tecina Golf hosted the European Challenge Tour Fred Olsen Challenge de Espana from 2009-2016, which was won in 2013 by Brooks Koepka (USA) US Open 2017 winner. In 2018-2019 they hosted The Alps Tour.
