A 26 bedroom, quintessentially English coaching inn with oodles of character, nestling in the heart of the New Forest.

Golf On Your Doorstep

Set amidst the beautiful New Forest in a landscaped parkland of mature trees and 200 year old hardwood plantations, the Manor Course is widely acknowledged to be amongst the finest and testing courses in the South of England. Built around 1865, the Forest Course is the oldest course in Hampshire and features an ever-changing scenery of humps and meandering streams, with the prospect of seeing deer emerging from the trees or a mare chivvying her foal across the fairway.

Eat & Drink

Leave your muddy wellies to warm by the fire, sink into a sofa and let us spoil you with bite-sized bar snacks and a glass of your favourite tipple. Or why not grab a table and a group of your favourite people and savour flavours full of the forest’s freshest ingredients? And when the sun’s out, while away the hours in our English country garden and listen to the clip-clop of New Forest ponies as they amble past.

Stay With Us

Whether you are looking for a cosy hideaway for a romantic weekend away, a place to rest your weary head after a round of golf on one of our very own courses, or a luxury suite to fit all the family, we have the perfect room for your stay. Our 26 individually-styled, dog friendly rooms have been freshly updated to seamlessly combine the inn’s rich history with modern elegance and we are sure you will just love the quirky corners, oak panels and wood-beamed ceilings which await you.

Historic Golf in the Heart of the New Forest

The Forest Course

Built around 1865, the Forest Course is the oldest course in Hampshire and with its open aspects and rolling heathland, is in complete contrast to the Manor Course. The ever-changing scenery of humps, hollows and meandering streams test golfing skills and judgement within an idyllic setting. The prospect of a deer emerging from the trees or a mare chivvying her foal across the fairway gives the Forest Course a special and unique appeal.

The Manor Course

The Manor Course was opened in 1971. Set amidst the beautiful New Forest in a landscaped parkland of mature trees and 200 year old hardwood plantations, it is widely acknowledged to be amongst the finest and testing courses in the South of England.  It is gently undulating, with excellent fairways and greens, and is a stern test for golfers of all abilities. Good shot selection is essential to shooting a good score!

The Championship Course

The jewel in the crown at Paultons GC is the stunning Championship course which measures 6,238 yards off the back tees. It provides sweeping, open fairways along with woodland scenery, delivering a fun and rewarding challenge for golfers of all abilities. All 18 greens have been built to USGA specification, with optimum drainage, meaning you’ll never be forced to putt on temporary greens on this course.
